Hello ladies! I am here to share something that I had been lusting about for over a year and finally bought last week. It is the Chanel Vitalumiére Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting makeup foundation. I have heard so many good things about this foundation over the past few months that I decided it would be a great investment as a special treat for special occasions!
I bought it from Lotte Department store in Sunae and got my color matched and I am glad I did because the one that I was planning to buy turned out a bit darker for me.
Chanel Vitalumiére Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting makeup (20 Beige) with SPF 15.
A new generation texture. An unprecedented sensory experience. A unique makeup result. Rapid and easy application…. Although it is exceptionally delicate and light, an incomparable “second-skin” perfecting result is achieved. Its formula, endowed with a UVB sun filter and mineral sunscreen, protects the skin from damaging sun rays. Its crystalline fragrance accentuates the sensation of freshness and pleasure of application.
How To Use:
Shake the bottle well before use to bring out the sensorial qualities of the texture. Dab on from the center of the face outwards.
Price: 68000 KRW, Quantity: 30ml (~1 Fluid ounce)
Samples: Chanel Vitalumiére Satin Fluid makeup (foundation) in 20 Clair (2.5ml), Le Blanc Whitening moisturizing Cream (5ml)
I loved the texture and the natural to dewy finish of this foundation on the skin. I applied it today for a first impression review and I like how it looks on the skin – very natural, light coverage and healthy (a bit dewy) finish. The texture however has me worried for winter months because it is not very creamy and I have really dry skin in winter.
Another thing I noticed was that it showed a bit around my nose as if it had accumulated a little there. I am sure a primer can solve this problem so I will do a thorough review once I try it using various ways. but as of now it is too pricey for its quality. I have liked Missha and Nature Republic BB creams far better which cost 1/6th of the price!
The most important thing to remember before using this foundation is to shake it well. I didn’t do it when I was trying it out so it came weird looking on my hand at the Chanel counter and then the makeup artist shakes it and then squeezed it out, it came out perfectly. So always shake it!
Chanel is my favorite high end makeup brand (for some reason I do not know because I have very few items from them) and I would love to try more from them. I have heard very good things about their (even more expensive) skincare line. One good thing about this purchase was that I received a sample of the Chanel Vitalumiere foundation which is the creamier, heavier version of this foundation. I think it might be more suitable for me after all!
