Colorbar Deep Matte Lip Creme – 008 Deep Blush Review, Swatches
I think it was quite early in my makeup journey when I started using makeup products in ways they were not directly designed for. There are so many ways a single product can be used. I am sure most of us have done that at some time in our lives out of laziness or fun. I started actively experimenting after I saw the Etude House Play 101 pencils. I have not stopped ever since. So today I bring you a makeup product – Colorbar USA Deep Matte Lip Creme – that I love to use in two different ways. So let’s get started with the review!

Colorbar Deep Matte Lip Créme comes in a clear plastic tube with silver cap. The cardboard packaging is silver with black print and contains all the details about the product. The lip créme tube is beautiful and there is 6 ml of product in it! The shade 008 Deep Blush is a vivid coral shade that is bold and beautiful. It works well for medium skintones (I’m NC35)!
The texture of the Lip Cream is light and mousse-like but is still creamy, it glides very smoothly on the lips. The applicator is a slim and long version of the doe foot applicator which helps in applying and distributing the product in the lips nicely. Overall the packaging is nice, fuss-free and travel-friendly.

This Deep Matte Lip Créme gives a medium opaque finish in one swipe. It sets to a satin finish and remains creamy on the lips. It is not very buildable though – second swipe starts making the finish look uneven and clumpy.
It does not feather out of the lip line or dry out the lips at all but by the end of the day (or 5-6 hours of application) it starts clinging to the dry spots on the lips. Exfoliation before application is key! On my lips, this lasts for about 5 hours!

I feel like this leaves a slight stain behind but it is not very noticeable to me. The Colobar Deep Matte Lip Créme is not transfer proof though. I still like how beautiful it looks on the skin. There were gorgeous shades to choose form this range of Colorbar lipsticks but I chose the Coral shade specifically for the upcoming season.
Since this is a lightweight product in a liquid to mousse consistency, I use this more as a cream blush! And it performs beautifully. It lasts well on the skin and sets to a powder-y finish. I think it looks very natural and pairs well when the product is worn both on the lips and cheeks (see the FOTD below)

Overall, the Colorbar Deep Matte Lip Creme are a good value for money. They come in fabulous shades and do not dry out the lips. The quantity is enough to last for a long time and the texture is creamy. They dry to a satin finish looking really flattering on the lips. The Deep Blush shade is a true bright coral shade that is not going to be everyone’s cup of tea. So if you like statement shade, go for the 008 Deep Blush shade or else choose from the other shades available in this range. I am definitely looking forward to trying out more shades from the Colorbar USA Deep Matte Lip Creme!
