I am an eyeliner freak. If there’s a new kajal around, I always have this urge to test it out. These days I am keeping my shopaholic tendencies in check so I go to the store and swatch the products first. And despite the number of shades in the line I have now a set rule of buying only one. Trying out luxury brands frequently can lead to wallet distress so I usually opt for drugstore. So when I scored an Estée Lauder eye pencil, I was ecstatic. I have had this for a long time. So here is a review of my current favorite pencil liner!
Claim: This long-wearing, water-resistant eye pencil lines and defines with smooth, even color that looks fresh all day. The lightweight, creamy formula glides on effortlessly. Rich, stay-true color won’t feather or bleed. Double-ended pencil has smudger on one end, color on the other. Sharpens easily with the Estée Lauder Pencil Sharpener. Wears for 12 hours. Sets in seconds.

Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Eye Pencil comes in pencil form (manual) with a smudge-tip on the other end. The pencils are color coded with gold print on top for product details. The Onyx shade comes in the black (duh?). I got this eye pencil as part of a kit so I do not have it in the regular packaging.
Estee Lauder have a range of amazing products in their Double Wear line and the Stay-in-Place Eye Pencils are no exception. They have very good pigmentation, are creamy so glide like a dream on the eye and stay for hours! I have tried 3 other shades from this line so I know they do it well in black and other colors.
This eye liner stays in the waterline (my watery waterline) for 6-7 hours without fading. If I use this on my lower lash line then also it stays all day long. It only smudges a little at the outer corner of my eye (I have very water-y eyes so yeah). I have had great luck wearing this for special occasions and not have to worry about it lasting through the night (or day). I have worn this pencil liner for more than 14 hours at a time (on a few occasions) but I think it looks the best in the first 6-8 hours.
Here is one of the FOTD looks I created featuring this eyeliner (waterline). You might have seen this in the Maybelline Rebel Bouquet lipstick REB07 review.
I have always enjoyed using Estée Lauder makeup and beauty products. Estée Lauder is also the only brand whose entire holiday collection I have bought (2010, 2013) and I do intend to check it out for 2015! If you are looking for a dependable eye pencil and would not mind shelling out a few more bucks than the drugstore brands, I recommend you check the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place eye pencil liners!
