I have used plenty of masksheets in the past from different brands, especially Korean skincare brands. However, Etude House and The Face Shop remain my favourites since they offer amazing masks at affordable prices. Some of my favourite masksheets cost just $1 or $2. Here is a review of the Etude House masksheet I used recently!
Product: Etude House 0.2 mm Fresh Moisture – Damask Rose
Price: 1.5 USD
Quantity: 20 ml
Claim: The daily low-irritant mask made of breathable 0.2mm air sheet effectively delivers 7-free essence to your skin. It contains Damask Rose extract and Niacinamide, a skin whitening agent, keeps skin nourished for long hours by providing instant moisture and vitality to tired skin.
Etude House used to have 3 different types of masksheets with the cheapest one costing $1 and the dearest one costing $5. I ended up trying out a lot of them but the $1 masksheets turned out to be my favourites especially in winter since I was using 2-3 masksheets per week. The latest range of those Etude House masksheets is known as the Fresh Moisture 0.2mm masksheets.
There are lots of “flavours” to choose from. I went for the Damask Rose mask sheet since I am a huge fan of the rose scent. This masksheet comes in an individual sachet with a cute print with all of the details about the product printed at the back of the packaging. The mask is quite thin and filled with essence.
The scent is one of the best rose scents I have ever come across and I loved it. When I applied it to my face, the mask sheet felt moisurising and cooling. I kept it on my face for over 20 minutes, removed it and then went to sleep. When I woke up in the morning, my skin felt soft and supple. Since the weather is not dry, the effect lasted for over 2 days.
That is pretty much what I expect from a mask sheet. I have never received any more benefits from regularly using mask sheets than having a supple skin for a few days. Nothing can replace a good skin care routine, however, regular use of mask sheets can add to the overall condition of the skin.
This mask contains ceramide, the miracle skincare ingredient, in addition to plenty of plant and fruit extracts.
I am quite happy with the Etude House Fresh Moisture Damask Rose mask. Since it is not heavy or oily, I think it will work well for oily skin. Being a rose-based mask, I think it can also work for sensitive skin even though it does have added fragrance. It is definitely a must-have for the harsh weather these days when it is tough to use potent skincare products on the skin.
