So I have been using the Etude House Baking Powder cleansing foams for almost 8 months now. I have reviewed them on my blog individually and then it occurred to me that I could compare the two since I feel one is slightly better than the other. Read the review of the Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam (blue) and the Etude House Cleansing Foam Moist (Pink) in case you are unfamiliar with them.
Packaging: Same size. The Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam is in Blue and White packaging while the Cleansing Foam Moist is is in Pink and White packaging.
Price: The Blue one costs 6500 KRW (6.5$) while the pink one costs (7.5$)
Scent: Citrus (slightly sweet) for both of the cleansing foams
Formula: Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam has a creamy formula with tiny specs which help exfoliate the skin while the Cleansing Foam Moist is even creamier but does not have the white tiny specs (which I think are Baking Powder particles?). This one thing is what makes the difference in how these might suit different skintypes!
Suitable for: The Pore Cleansing Foam is meant for oily skin and the Cleansing foam moist is meant for dry skin.
My experience: I think both of these cleansing foams are a little strong for everyday use for people with dry and/or sensitive skin since Baking Powder is a strong cleansing agent. I have felt that the Cleansing Foam Moist is gentler and does not make my skin feel tight or dry after usage. However, I think I got a better result in terms of cleansing since I was getting tiny red bumps on my face which cleared up after using the blue face wash. I think if anyone has oily skin, the Pore Cleansing Foam will work great even for regular use but for normal to dry skintypes, neither one of these should be used daily. I used these twice a day around the time of the month I got breakouts but otherwise, I used these once at night on the days I wore makeup and/or went out.
I have dry skin but I ended up liking the Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam better even though (as I mentioned in my review post) I do notice a little bit of tightening of skin afterwards. I hated the squeaky clean feeling at first but now that weather is warmer and my skin less dry, I am liking it more! I have never really gotten any visible skincare results from any other face washes actually, they all worked the same. So I am glad I tried both of the Baking Powder cleansing foams.
Have you tried the Etude House Baking Powder Cleansing foams? Which is your favorite face wash?
