I think I am on a roll with the reviews especially for makeup products from Etude House! I just reviewed their Dear My Milky Gloss, Blooming BB cream, Dust CUT facial mist, Volumecara, Pen liner in the last few days only. Many upcoming reviews also feature Etude House products. This is not just a coincidence, I have gotten to try a lot of Etude House products during my stay in Korea and after using them for so long, I am ready to review them even consecutively. I got the Dear My Crystal Gloss last year and totally forgot to review it even though I featured it in my 2013 Makeup favorites. Without more delay, let me just jump into the review!

I have always been a lipstick kinda girl and I rarely used to apply Lip gloss on its own but somehow in the past few months, I have been loving the fresh look a gloss gives compared to lipsticks. One of the problems I face with this though is that I have unevenly pigmented lips so if the gloss is too sheer, it does not work for me. So I prefer lipgloss with creamy finish.
I first tried Etude House Dear My Crystal Gloss last year and it was my first Etude House lip gloss. I liked it so much that I ended up trying a lot more of the Dear My Crystal Gloss and other glosses in the Dear My collection like – Dear My Enamel Gloss, Dear My Milky Gloss.
The Dear My Crystal Gloss in CRD301 is actually named red but it shows up a deep pink on swatching and light pink with red shimmer in my opinion. This is a high shine gloss and may not be office appropriate (depending upon the occupation of course) but it really something I can wear easily.
It is light weight, has a fruity sweet smell and is not very sticky. I like the formula as well because one coat does show up well on my lips (even when worn alone) and it also works really beautifully with other lipsticks. This was featured in my 2013 Yearly Makeup favorites for the same reasons. It comes with a pretty basic doe foot applicator.
The packaging is nice and sturdy. I love that the color is visible on the outside plus the pigmentation and color payoff are exactly the same as it shows in the packaging. I would have liked the scent to be a little subdued but I do not mind it much.
There are 5-6 shades available now in the stores compared to 8 or 10 that were initially launched but in this range, since I have tried and swatched other (see the Dear My Crystal Gloss swatch post), I believe that this is the best shade in the range at least for medium to dark undertones.
I have the COR201 shade as well and the review of that is coming up soon. But to still give you a hint, I like this one better!
