Hello everyone, I am back with another review and this time is a face wash that I have been using for the past couple of weeks. I got the Forest Essentials Travel Essentials kit recently (read the haul post) and this facial wash, Delicate Facial Cleanser – Kashmiri Saffron & Neem, came as a part of it in addition to 5 other products. I will be reviewing the other products soon too but since I have been almost halfway through this, I thought of reviewing this first. This is my first ever Forest Essentials product review!
Product: Forest Essentials Delicate Facial Cleanser – Kashmiri Saffron & Neem
Claim: Forest Essentials Facial Cleanser gently cleanses your face to remove dirt and exfoliates dead skin cells making it clean and fresh. Mineral Oil-free, Sulfate-free, Paraben-free, Cruelty-free.
Quantity: 50 ml (Travel size)
Price: 275 INR (~ 5$)
Note: Full size bottle (200 ml) costs 975 INR (~ 17$). Check it out at the Forest Essentials website.
One of the most endearing thing in all of the Forest Essentials products is the delicate scent and the classy fuss-free packaging. Of course I appreciate the fact that the products are SLS-free, Paraben-free, mineral oil-free and cruelty-free. And even though these things do factor in the review, the main thing is whether this facial cleanser cleans the skin or not and how does it make my skin feel!
And the answer is, it is gentle and clarifying to the skin.
I have used this facial cleanser twice a day in the past few weeks and have used it to wash off my cleansing cream after removing makeup, I am happy to report that there was no makeup residue after using this face wash. I also used it in the morning and I did not notice any drying or tightening of skin that some face washes do to my dry skin. And I mentioned both of the points above specifically is because this face wash does not lather immensely and sometimes that can be confused with the cleansing power of the product. But this is a dream to work with! And the formula is good enough so that only a pea-size amount is good enough to wash the whole face.
The ingredient list made my heart sing. The key ingredients are – Steam distilled Rose Water, Steam distilled marigold water, Steam distilled Jasmine water, Steam Distilled Kewada water, Neem Infusion, Organic Honey, Pure Saffron extract. What’s there not to like!
I also love the safforn-yellow color and gel-like consistency of this face wash. The packaging is very classy in my opinion and I always like clear bottles since I can see how much of the product is left. The gold twist open lid is a nice detail. The plastic of the packaging is sturdy and the lid sits well on the top making this a travel-friendly product.
The scent of this product is a rose scent that is delicate and refreshing. I absolutely detest rose scents but this rose water type light scent makes me feel relaxed.
Judging based on my experience, I think this face wash will work for all skin types across age groups.
My Travel Essentials kit (from the haul post linked on top):
Forest Essentials products are available online on Nykaa. Jabong and other Indian online shopping sites and also on their own website. Forest Essentials also has stores in leading malls in many cities across India. Since the stores still scattered far across India, I think ordering their products online is the best bet. I recently placed an order with Nykaa for their Facial Ubtan (face wash powder) and Face Scrub since finding the brand in Bangalore has been a challenge. Anyway. I am really happy with my Forest Essentials products and will highly recommend them to everyone.
