It has been quite some time since I reviewed an eye product on the blog and the reason is simple – I had started neglecting my under eye area again. I have zombie eyes and no I did not just get them, I have had deep set eyes with under eye circles since my young age (thank you nutritional deficiencies) but I have made them worse with my lifestyle. On top of that I have not paid a lot of attention to it and applied anything topically. So basically my under eye area was crying for help and it’s prayers were answered when I received the April FabBag which came with the Iraya Manjistha Eye Contour Gel. I have been using it for a week and here is my experience with it till now!
Product: Iraya Manjistha Eye Contour Gel

Price: 395 INR
Ingredients: Indian Madder (Manjistha), Indian Barberry (Tree turmeric), Aloe vera, Vegetable Glycerine, Cellulose Gum, Xanthan Gum, Pomelo (a citrus fruit), Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance.
The Iraya Manjistha Eye Contour gel comes in a frosted glass jar with a metallic silver lid. The eye contour gel is amber in colour and has a thin consistency (in gel form of course so it is not runny). The packaging is cute to look at but from the travel and hygiene perspective, it does not tick all the boxes. For everyday use at home, it works well for me. Of course I only dip my clean finger in it for applying.
Iraya Manjistha Eye Contour gel is a little cooling to the skin and takes a few moments to absorb completely. It is very relaxing and freshens up the skin. For some reason, I also feel calmer after applying it. I try to massage it for a few seconds (I have the patience of a butterfly) before leaving it on its own 😉
I do suffer from water retention and puffiness of my eye area so I have found this gel to relieve some of that puffiness. It also helps make my eyes look (and feel) less tired. Over the course of one week, I have, however, not registered any difference to the crow’s feet or fine lines (not that I am old or anything ;))
I have incorporated Iraya Manjistha Eye Contour Gel into my daily skincare routine now and I really like how fresh my eyes feel after applying it. The ingredient list is short and sweet (paraben and color free, contains added fragrance but we’ll let that slip). I hope to see some results after using it for a month, I can do with some under eye brightening and fine line erasing. Overall I would recommend this product for people just getting into eye creams – this one is not heavy, is priced well and is very gentle to the delicate eye area.
Have you tried Iraya Manjistha Eye Contour Gel? Which is your favorite eye cream ever?
