Review: L’occitane Almond Milk Concentrate

I am compiling a list of everything I loved in 2013 and one of the striking products is the L’OCCITANE Almond Milk concentrate. I bought this in the beginning of December and this is the undisputed best find of 2013 for me. This was my very first time trying L’occitane product and now the bar is set so high for them that I am going to be judging their products with a very keen eye!

Product: L’occitane Almond Milk Concentrate.

What L’OCCITANE has to say about their Almond Milk Concentrate:

L’OCCITANE blends almond proteins and silicium into a silky, concentrated milk that nourishes and smooths the whole body. The light, creamy and silky texture absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue while skin is left feeling satiny-smooth and is enveloped in the fresh and delicate fragrance of Almond blossoms.

Made with Almonds sourced from Haute Provence, the Almond Milk Concentrate also supports the sustainability of almond trees in the region, as these trees are a staple to the beauty of the Provençal landscape.

Directions of Use:
Massage the Almond Milk Concentrate into the skin with circular movements, always from bottom to top, each morning and/or evening on the whole body.
For best results, focus on areas to tighten and tone, such as thighs, stomach and bust.

The Concentrate can also be applied to the skin after hair removal or shaving to help soothe and moisturize.

My experience:

I use this as a body butter and I have not paid attention to its skin firming properties specifically but I love how soft my skin feels and how nice it smells after applying this milk concentrate.

L’occitane Almond Milk Concentrate has a very soufflé type feel and a little goes a long way. I have been using this on alternate days in conjunction with my Victoria Secret – Secret Temptation Body lotion and both of them have been hands down the best body products I have ever used!

I also came to know that this is their best-selling product! I usually do not succumb to bestsellers but this one is a very deserving product.

Use this if:

1. You want to treat your skin to luxurious body products (it is expensive)

2. You want to firm up your skin.

3. You have dry skin and want a deep moisturizing product.

4. You want to use it 😉

Rating – 5/5

Recommend – YES!

Repurchase – Yes! Yes! Yes!

One strange thing that I found is that the Ingredient list contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate which we all know is a lathering agent. But why did they add it to a body butter product?

The two plus points which put this body product high on the pedestal are: It is paraben-free and has no added fragrance (judging from the Ingredient list).

Have you tried the Loccitane Almond Milk Concentrate? What are your favorite products from L’occitane?
