L’Oreal Paris Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner comes in a color coded pencil form with a clear plastic lid. These eyeliners are inspired by silk and actually have a very silky texture. These are really pigmented eyeliners and glide effortlessly on the eyes. There is no amount of tugging involved. They set within a few moments and stay put all day. The company claims a 16 hour staying power but the longest I have worn these is about 12 hours and the eyeliner lasted well. For a smoky look, you need to smudge them fast or else they set for the whole day.
The shade 220 Plum is my favorite kind of colored eyeliner shade for everyday use. It adds a hint of colour but still looks wearable. This is a great shade for Indian skintones. And the shade 280 Gold is a standout winner in my opinion. It can be used as an eyeshadow base, eyeliner for the lower lashline (even upper lashline) and as an inner corner highlight! The antique gold is fabulous for Indian skin tones. In fact it is a must have especially for special occasions.
I have oily eyelids and water-y eyes so I have the perfect combination to test an eye product (ha!) I applied the Plum shade on my eyes without a primer and it stayed put for 12 hours until I removed it. On my waterliner, the gold and the plum shades started coming off after about 4-5 hours. They did not vanish completely till the end of the day but had faded a fair bit. They were also easy to remove with my makeup cleansers. I did not get any irritation in my eyes after using these eyeliners.
So you can tell, I am basically in love with these eyeliners!
Caution: These eyeliners contain silica and silicones so in case you are sensitive to those, I would suggest staying away from these eyeliners.

FAQ – How to Sharpen the L’Oreal Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner?
Despite the looks, the Silkissime eyeliners are mechanical pencils so they need to be sharpened with a sharpener. I have one from The Face Shop and one from Etude House which has sharpens two types of pencils – thick (chubby stick size) and slim (eyeliner size). I am able to sharpen my L’Oreal Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner easily with them. In case you do not have that, you can buy the L’Oreal Dual Barrel Sharpener available at L’Oreal counters. (The gold band near the neck of the pencil is not difficult to sharpen)

Overall, the L’Oreal Silkissime eyeliners are the most pigmented, opaque, long-lasting and smooth eyeliners I have ever come across. They come in a variety of shades and each one of them is a must-have in my opinion. I do have plans of adding the Silver and the Purple shade to my collection already. Highly recommend these pencil eyeliners!
