Mamonde Rose Water Daily Skin Toner – Review, Price, Details!

Mamonde Rose Water Daily Skin Toner – Review

When I was in South Korea, I rarely picked up products from higher drugstore brands especially from the brands available at Aritaum. One of the main reason was that I was not familiar with the brands and this store did not run discounts as often as other brands I was more accustomed to, like Etude House, Missha, The Face Shop, Nature Republic etc. During the last few months of my stay in Korea, I decided to try some new brands and hence got a few Mamonde, IOPE, Aritaum and Laneige products. I asked a friend to pick up the Mamonde Rose Water toner for me. I have now been using this for over 7 months so I thought I would review it for you today!

* The Mamonde Rose Water Toner is a bestseller from Mamonde and has been around for quite some time!

Mamonde Rose Water Daily Skin Toner

Mamonde Rose Water Toner comes in a transparent pink (tinted) bottle with a white flip top lid. The packaging is pretty basic and sturdy but it only comes in 250 ml and 500 ml sizes so I am not sure if anyone would consider it travel friendly. But of course you can always carry it in a travel size bottle! The ingredients and other details are only printed in Korean at the bask of the bottle.

The rose water is slightly pink in color and has the consistency of water. It is worth mentioning that this product is 90.89% rose water (no water, aqua etc.) It smells of roses (duh?) and in the best possible way. The scent is very relaxing and energizing, I love it! The roses used to produce damask rose water are Bulgarian roses which are popular for their moisturizing properties.

I have dry skin so I never used toners until I learnt how important they are to close the skin pores after cleansing. I first started with plain rose water but in the absence of good rose water in India, I searched a lot for a good option from Korea. I tried a lot of samples before choosing these toners. And I am happy to report that this skin toner does not dry out skin, in fact I sometimes do not moisturize immediately after toning because my skin feels so soft after using this.

I have not noticed any drying effect from this toner on my dry skin and I specifically use it on my T zone which tends to get oily and has larger pores than the rest of my face. In summer I use this toner all over my skin. It refreshes me!

This skin toner is free of mineral oil, parabens and artificial color! It is suitable for all skin types throughout the year!

Other uses (Options given by the brand):

  • This can be used to freshen up the skin by pouring this on a dry masksheet or gauze and applying on the face keeping it on for 15 minutes.
  • Damp the makeup sponge with this for smoother application of makeup base.

I have only used this as a toner though so I cannot comment on the other uses but I am sure you can try them out (maybe comment below to tell me your experience?)

Of all the skin toners I have ever used, Innisfree Rose Clear Skin and Mamonde Rose Water Toner are my absolute favorites with the latter leading the way! I have dry skin so I rarely experiment with toners especially now that I have found two keepers. I would highly recommend both of these toners of course if you have to choose between the two, go for Mamonde Rose Water Daily Skin Toner!

You should try the Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion (in Japan, toner is referred to as lotion). It is great 🙂

If you want to buy korean cosmetics and skincare products, I highly recommend testerkorea. It’s an online store dedicated solely to korean cosmetics. Prices are reasonable and so is shipping AND they ship to India yay! Just make sure not to exceed Rs 2000 (excluding shipping) while ordering because apparently -or so I’ve heard- it’ll cause problems at the Indian Customs.
