I picked up a couple of Secret Key products from the Olive Young store in Seoul before leaving South Korea a few months ago. I had been trying out a few product already so these waited patiently for me to pick them up. I started using both of the products, Secret Key White Pearl Illuminating Cleansing Foam and Secret Key Secret Kiss Let Me Know CC cream, last month. I will be reviewing the CC cream soon but let’s discuss the White Pearl Illuminating Foam today!

The Secret Key White Pearl Illuminating Cleansing Foam comes in a (completely apt) pearl white squeeze out tube with pearl white white lid. The packaging is clean, with few prints, and functional. The lid was closed tightly when I first started using it but with time, it got a bit loose and stopped closing fully. For this reason in addition to the size of the bottle (200 ml) I do not consider this travel-friendly.
I am glad to know that this face wash is Paraben, Mineral oil, Benzophenone, Phenoxyethanol FREE. I pay attention to the ingredients, not just key ingredients and packaging, so I appreciate these details. Since these 5 are specifically mentioned, I am guessing this contains added fragrance. Anyhow.
This cleansing foam lathers well and cleans the skin gently without stripping it of moisture. As lazy as I can be, I have washed my face and slept without applying moisturizer and did not feel tightness or new dry spots appear on my face. It has worked well for my dry skin. But if you like the squeaky-clean feeling, this may not work for you. I feel the texture of this face cleanser is quite similar to the Etude House Baking Powder Cleansing Foam Moist.
Recommend: Yes. If you are in search of a good cleansing foam that does not dry out the skin and cleanses gently, you might enjoy using this product. I have dry skin so the review is completely from my perspective but this cleansing foam is marketed to be suitable for all skin types so use your discretion!
Repurchase: Maybe. I liked using this face wash and loved the pearly white color and texture of it. I have a few products waiting in line to be tested but I can consider repurchasing this cleanser.
