Hi everyone! I have been making a lot of videos these days, I had totally forgotten how much fun it was but I am glad I have started again! Here is my SUGAR Cosmetics Matte As Hell Crayon Lipstick review video:
SUGAR Cosmetics Matte As Hell Crayon Lipsticks comes in a black chubby pencil packaging with color coded ends. The pencils are non-retractable so you need to sharpen them every few uses and you have to be a bit careful while putting the lid back on after application. I received a sharpener with this pencil so I am not complaining about it being a mechanical pencil even though I would have preferred the retractable packaging.
There are currently 4 shades in the Matte As Hell Crayon Liptick range:
01 Scarlet O’Hara (Red)
02 Mary Poppins (Fuscia)
03 Poison Ivy (Wine)
04 Holly Golightly (Nude)
I received the wine shade (03 Poison Ivy) which is perfect for this season. All of the 4 shades are beautiful and are “Must Haves” in my opinion.
Here is a Swatch of the SUGAR Matte As Hell Crayon lipstick – Poison Ivy:
SUGAR cosmetics Matte As Hell lipstick has a creamy texture. They are richly pigmented and set to a satin finish. This lip crayon stays for many hours and then fades away leaving a slight tint behind. I tried it on various days and one particular day I noticed that it transfers easily and starts fading from the center of my lips. By the end of the day, it had faded all over and my lips were still a bit stained from the wine shade.
It has passed my reapplication test which simply means that on reapplication, it is looks even. It is also build-able so you can go from one swipe to three to find your preferred colour payoff!
Here is my FOTD featuring the SUGAR Cosmetics Matte As Hell Crayon Lipstick:
Overall I am happy to have tried out this crayon lipstick. However, there are similar products out in the market which are more affordable and give equally good, if not better, results. One particular product that comes to my mind is the Lakmé Absolute Lip Pout. So in case you want, you can try similar products from other brands but rest assured the wine shade, Poison Ivy, is not easy to find in the market. Another shade that I see making rounds on the Indian Blogging Scene is the shade Mary Poppins, I have plans of getting my hands on it soon 😉 That is it for the review, I will be back with more beauty reviews and videos soon!
