Shiseido Perfect Whip Foam – Review
Hi everyone, how are you today? I am finally getting time to do a few skincare and makeup reviews for you. The last few weeks have flown past because of illness in the family and numerous visits to the hospital. Things are looking slightly better now so I thought, let’s do some beauty reviews. Typical beauty blogger! hehe. Today I thought of talking about the Shiseido Perfect Whip Foam. I have been using it for almost a month and am about to run out. Here is the detailed review for you!
Product: Shiseido Perfect Whip Foam
Price: $ 8
Quantity: 150 ml
Claim: This cleanser creates soft and rich foam which acts as a cushion to protect the skin from harsh cleansing motion. Meanwhile, it penetrates into the pores to clean impurities and excess sebum. Skin becomes clean, soft and hydrated. For all skin types (except ultra-sensitive skin)
*I have a 40g sample from a skincare gift set
Shiseido Perfect Whip Foam comes in a blue plastic squeeze tube with a twist open lid. This is the packaging I received it in even though I have seen flip-top opening on some packaging (online) as well. The packaging is pretty simple, basic and travel-friendly. The details about the product are listed in Japenese.
The foam itself is pretty creamy and smells powdery sweet and floral. It is a pretty noticeable scent but I do not mind it. When mixed with water, the cream lathers up pretty well into a luxurious foam. It is quite a good cleanser since it takes off every bit of dirt and grime. I have really dry skin and noticed that this one stripped moisture from my skin.
I think this facial cleanserr is definitely going to work better for oily/combination skin than dry skin. It is not potent enough to dissolve makeup but if you use this after using a makeup remover, this will take off all the makeup residue and dirt from your face.
I got this as a gift from someone but I think it is easily available online if you want to buy it in India. This product is available on Amazon with a few different names such as Shiseido Perfect Whip Cleansing Foam, Shiseido Senka Perfect Whip Foam, etc. The packaging and everything are the same so I have no idea why there is such (even though slight) variation in the name. Anyhow here is the summary of the review:
I liked the rich and soft lather this foam has when I wash my face but sadly the “stripping off moisture” part is not so good for my skin. I hoped this facial cleanser would be a bit more gentle to my skin. Therefore, I would recommend people with dry skin to stay away from it. If you have oily skin, you can probably give it a go without worrying. Since it is getting really cold here in Delhi, I have gotten a gentle face wash from The Body Shop to be my saviour.
