Beyonce Pulse Review
Summer is upon us and I am ready to face the Delhi heat. Of course with my army of perfumes. And since most of my outings happen during the day I buy daytime perfumes. And my favorite are citrus scents. My all time favorite perfume is the Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. I received it long ago and ever since then I love to invest in my perfumes. I received the Beyonce Pulse perfume as a gift as well. I just finished using it (and have ordered an Oriflame perfume now). So read my review to find out if this perfume is worth trying!

Pulse is a citrus – floral – gourmand fragrance by Beyonce and is the first perfume she came up with. It was released in 2011 and there are a couple of few limited edition perfumes introduced over the past few years to this range – Pulse NYC and Pulse Summer Edition!
The Beyonce Pulse fragrance opens with sparkling top notes of pear blossom, frozen Bergamot and accord of Blue Curacao liqueur. It then transforms into delicious floral notes of Bluebird orchid, delicate peony and intensive midnight blooming jasmine. The base notes comprise of Madagascar Vanilla, Musk and precious woods.
The modern faceted bottle is designed to look like it’s upside down but I always kept it straight up. I actually bigger fan of the perfume bottle than I am of the fragrance itself. I picked up this bottle after giving it a whiff. On the perfume tester, it smelled exactly like it is supposed to smell. But sadly, it smells more floral-musky on me. I like the way it smells for about an hour before it sets into its base notes where it smells even more musky than I want it to.
I like musky scents but since I wanted more unique notes – pear blossom, frozen Bergamot and accord of Blue Curacao liqueur – in mind, I am not 100% happy with this perfume.
Overall, I am not head over heels in love with the Beyonce Pulse perfume. It smells nice but so do many other perfumes that come at a more affordable price. It did not smell that way I wanted it to smell on me (body chemistry at work I guess) so I am not going to pick this up again. I would recommend this fragrance to people looking for floral-musky scents since I noticed those notes far more than any other!
