I have always believed in letting my skin breathe, which is probably the reason I rarely used cream foundations despite my flawed skin. Anyway, when I first tried a BB cream in Korea, I really liked the texture and also how it made my skin look. I was hooked! By the time I came to India, I had a nice range of BB creams from different brands to choose from – the first one I picked up was The Body Shop All-in-One BB cream. I have been using it for a few months and here is my review! There is also an FOTD at the end of the post.
Product: The Body Shop All-in-One BB cream
Claim: This All-In-One BB cream transforms from a white cream to suit your skin tone. Pigment-filled capsules burst when applied to the skin, releasing the color inside. Just blend for a perfect match and an even, undetectable finish. It’s makeup and skin care in one. This BB cream adapts to your skin tone, give light to medium coverage with an even finish and provides 24-hour hydration. It is also a non-clogging formula!
Quantity: 25 ml
Price: 1595 INR
The Body Shop All-in-One BB cream comes in a silver squeeze tube with black twist open lid. The packaging is really sleek and the tube opening is a good size and dispenses an adequate amount of the BB cream. It is travel-friendly and the packaging stands out when compared to other BB creams despite not being fancy. I like it actually. All the product details are listed on the packaging or on a sticker. Anyhow.
This BB cream is pearl white in color with minuscule beige capsules which burst when applying to the skin and adapt to the skintone. This BB cream works a lot like CC creams in that respect. It gives a dewy-finish with light to medium coverage to the skin. With a nice concealer to cover the blemishes, you can have the best of both world with this BB cream!
This BB cream (with the apt name All in One BB cream) also hydrates the skin. So if you have oily skin, you do not need to apply a moisturizer before this and if you have dry skin, this will compliment the skin cream to add more moisture to the skin.
Because of the hydrating properties, this The Body Shop BB cream takes a few minutes to set properly. I like to use a powder on my T zone to make this BB cream look great and last long. I have had a perfect run with this BB cream for 5-6 hours. If I set it with powder on the oily parts of my face, this lasts even longer. I have never had any issues with breakouts etc with this BB cream. It is a bit pricey considering the Maybelline, Colorbar, L’Oreal Paris BB creams come at 1/3rd of its price (and more quantity). But I still like this BB cream a lot 🙂

I really enjoyed using this BB cream and I think it will work for most skintypes. I have seen 3 shades in the Indian market but I think they have more available on their international website. I used the shade 02 and I think it adapts really well to my skin. I have not tried a lot of The Body Shop makeup products but the few ones I have tried have worked really well for me. I am planning to try out their newly launched face primer now!
