Victoria’s Secret Mango Temptation Hydrating Body Lotion – Review

I bought the Victoria’s Secret Hydrating Mango Temptation body lotion a few months ago and I bought it on the basis of the description alone. This was my first time trying out Victoria’s Secret products and I must say I had high hopes. let’s see how the Mango Temptation body lotion fared!

Victoria’s Secret Mango temptation Body Lotion and Amber Romance Shower cream

Product: Victoria’s Secret Mango Temptation Hydrating Body Lotion

Claim: Fast-absorbing formula contains nourishing Aloe, Oat and Grapeseed Extracts, plus antioxidant Vitamins E and C. Massage on for silky, replenishing moisture. Skin feels soft, smooth and touchable.

Quantity: 250 ml (8.4 fl. oz.)

Price: 12$

The first thing I bought this is for the brand name and then the flavor! I have used The Body Shop Mango Shower gel and loved the scent so I wanted to know how good Mango & Hibiscus were going to be together (Both amazing scents).

The first thing I did was to sniff it when I came home after buying this. The Mango scent is much more pronounced than Hibiscus but it is amazing nevertheless. The lotion is light pink in color and it has a usual lotion consistency (I mean not like body milks).

The lotion is easy to apply, the scent is amazing and lingers on for some time and it is absorbed by the skin within a few minutes. I am mentioning this because this lotion is claimed to be fast-absorbing which I do not think it is. It is a little slick before it is absorbed so I wait for a few minutes before changing from my bathrobe.

I prefer body and skincare products without perfume, alcohols, parabens and petroleum-derivatives but this lotion has all of these including added color! I will use such body products for special occasions or on the days I am going out but not for everyday use!

Rating: 3.75/5

Recommend: Yes

Repurchase: Yes

If I go by the feel and the scent of this product alone, I would give it 5/5 but since I am conscious of what I am applying to my body and I keep an eye on the ingredients, I give it a 3.75/5.

Do you read ingredients listed on your skincare products or do you judge them by their scent or feel? Have you tried Victoria’s Secret products?
